Minutes for the February 2, 2012 General Assembly Meeting

The minutes from the General Assembly for January were read and approved.
State Committee Meeting
Ian gave an overview of the March Green Party of PA State Convention, including a summary of the agenda. He also discussed the July National Convention, including information about the presidential nomination candidates.
Ideas and Action for 2012
Discussion was held amongst attendees about possible actions in 2012, including Earth Day, pride march, frack drilling issues, healthcare, G20 and more. Many ideas were given. One idea for Earth Day was to join/ work with a local environmental group in one of their Earth Day events.
$301 in the bank, 74 was written for post office box annual fee.
New Website Unveiled and Ideas for Newsletter-
A new website for the party was created. Currently www.gpoac.weebly.com the web name is being changed. It was announced that the website was still under construction, but that enough was fished for it to go public.
Ideas for a newsletter for the party were discussed. The name, “Allegheny Green Report” was selected.
Election of Party Officers and Delegates
Elections for Party officers and delegates were held. All candidates for Executive Committee ran unopposed and where unanimously elected. Several people were elected as delegates.
Others Items- Announcements and Events
One attended talked about Permaculture in Hazelwood. Another talked about the upcoming G20 meeting.
At the regular general assembly meeting held on Thursday, February 2nd, members elected party officers to the Executive Committee and Delegates to the State Party.
All current officers where unanimously reelected to another term.
Katrina Brabham was reelected to a second term as Chair.
Tim Jones was reelected to a second term as Vice Chair.
Robert Piemme was reelected to a third term as Secretary.
Robin White was reelected to a second term as Treasurer.
Ian Samways was elected as an At-Large officer.
All officers assumed office immediately following the end of the election and their term expires on Thursday, February 7, 2013.
